Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya:
Indian cricket fans nowadays know about Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya as the two brothers who have taken the IPL by storm. Both Baroda brothers are extremely successful now and are playing together for the country as well as the Mumbai Indians. However, this was not the case when they started out. Their father had a small business of car finances and they were a middle-class family.
But their father decided to shift to Vadodara to ensure both brothers got ample opportunities to excel further. This wasn’t the best decision for his business as it failed miserably and they were left with very less income. Hardik Pandya told a story wherein he said that his family couldn’t provide him with a nutritious diet so he had to survive on Maggi noodles.
“During U-19 days, my diet would be Maggi, both in the morning and evening. I was a big fan of Maggi and the situation was also like that. It was difficult to maintain a diet, financially it was a problem. Now I can eat whatever I want, but that time there were many problems in the family, especially financial issues,”
Their father had suffered a heart attack and they had to purchase a car to ensure that they could transport him at the earliest to the hospital if another such situation arose. Pandya talked about how most of their income went into paying off the monthly installments EMI of the car.
