Bhubaneswar, Odisha, India is the place of birth of Pragyan Ojha. He is a left-arm orthodox spin bowler, who represented Indian National cricket team in the World Stage.
Pragyan Ojha belongs to Bhubaneswar and he completed his education from Bhubaneswar as well, although the former cricketer hasn’t disclosed anything his Education as of yet.
As every other cricketer, Pragyan Ojha began his cricketing journey with domestic cricket and represented Hyderabad in first class cricket.
Known for his left-arm orthodox bowling and gifted with natural talent and accuracy along with numerous bowling varieties, Pragyan Ojha established himself as one of the most integral parts of any team he played for.
Pragya Ojha also spent a Considerable amount of time in the Indian Premier League, he represented two franchise during his stint Deccan Chargers and Mumbai Indians. He was one of the most influential figures of the Deccan Chargers team which triumphed the IPL trophy in 2009.
Moreover, He was also one of the core members of the Mumbai Indians franchise. He made his debut for five-time champions Mumbai Indians in 2012. The left-arm spinner stayed for 3 seasons before leaving them in 2015.

Pragyan Ojha began his cricketing journey at a very young age, he used to practice in Sahid Sporting club in his hometown, Bhuvneshwar.
After consistent performances, Pragyan Ojha finally got a breakthrough and made his domestic cricket debut for Hyderabad. He represented Hyderabad in 2004 in first class cricket.
Soon enough, Pragyan Ojha established himself as one of the most prominent players in first class cricket. He had one of the best season when he established wickets (26) in just 6 matches during the 2006/07 season.
Moreover, Ojha also represented Bengal in domestic cricket as a guest player for two seasons from 2015 to 2017.
Furthermore, Pragyan Ojha also played county cricket in England for one season. He represented Surrey in first class cricket in 2011.
Overall, Pragyan Ojha has played first class cricket matches (108) having established wickets (424) at bowling average (28.60). He also scored runs 848 during his Domestic cricketing career.
International
After consistent performances in Domestic cricket, Pragyan Ojha finally earned his first call-up for Indian National cricket team. He made his One day international debut for India against Bangladesh in 2008, 28 June.

Moreover, Pragyan Ojha made his test cricket debut against Sri Lanka in November, 2009. He finished the match having taken wickets (4/73) in both innings against Sri Lanka.

Pragyan Ojha made his T20I debut for Indian National cricket team against Bangladesh in June, 2009. Ojha amazed everyone has established figures (4/21) in four over during his T20I debut.

IPL
Pragyan Ojha made his IPL debut in 2008 after he was bought by former IPL franchise, Deccan Chargers in IPL auction 2008. He spent three seasons with the franchise before leaving them in 2011.
Pragyan Ojha played an integral role in their IPL Trophy triumph in 2009 season. The following year, Ojha was one of the standout bowlers of the 2010 IPL, he was the purple cap holder having established wickets (21) during matches (16) at bowling average (20.42).
Furthermore, Pragyan Ojha was bought by Mumbai Indians franchise in 2012 IPL auction. The left-arm spinner spent 3 seasons with the five time champions and was one of the most integral parts of their IPL winning campaign in 2013 and 2015.
Pragyan Ojha bid adieu to his cricketing career spanning over more than 16 years. He took retirement from all formats of cricket in February, 2020.
