Barca: Important week for Barcelona-Valverde

On the beginning of this season, Barca lost the Supercopa de Espana, after that they made a strong start to the season and now the new Barca manager has called for more of the same.


After showcasing a wonderful football against the Juventus side in the Champions league the Barca coach Valverde wants his to maintain the standers when they will play their domestic match.


Though on the beginning of the season Barca lost the Supercopa de Espana both the matches against their arch-rivals Real Madrid but after that, they have registered four consecutive wins under their new manager.


This season they began their Champions League campaign in a style after defeating last season finalist Juventus side by 3-0 goals,


They managed to take nibble revenge against the Serie A side after defeating them.


Today Barcelona will tackle Getafe, after that in midweek, they will host Eiber in La Liga.


Valverde stated: "It's true that some [games] seem more attractive than others, but in this case – and I'm speaking for all the players - it's an important week,"


"We've got nine points at stake. This kind of game, when you're away from home and you know your opponent has that extra motivation to pick up the three points, you cannot look back. You must keep looking forward.


"Football can change very quickly. We have to extend the form we are in at the moment, at least for the next few days."
