The Indian skipper Virat Kohli is undoubtedly the best batsman in the world currently. There are very few bowlers who have created problems in front of him. However recently 26-year-old Aussie spinner Adam Zampa is making Kohli’s life tough.

Zampa hasn’t succeeded in putting a check in the runs scored by Kohli. But he has succeeded in picking his wicket for quite a few times. In the ongoing series against Australia, Kohli has been dismissed four times. Among which three times Zampa has taken his wicket.

Now the experts have started debating whether Kohli has become the bunny of Zampa. However the New South Wales spinner has always praised the star Indian batsman.

Zampa played a key role in the third ODI which the Aussies won. He broke two crucial partnerships of Kohli-Dhoni (56 runs) and Kohli-Jadhav (88 runs). Zampa took all the three wickets of these destructive batsmen. Although Zampa gave 70 runs in his 10 overs, but his three wickets helped the Aussies win the game by 32 runs.

However Zampa didn’t get the Man of the Match award. It was awarded to Australia’s centurion Usman Khawaja. In the post-match presentation, Zampa credited his entire team for a spirited performance. On the other hand he also admitted how serious a player Kohli is.

Kohli scored two back-to-back centuries, one in Nagpur and one in Ranchi. His 116 in Nagpur came in winning cause, but his 123 in Ranchi went in vain. It was also Kohli’s 7th ODI century in his last 11 ODIs played at home.

In an interview, Zampa said, “We bowled well collectively. The quicks upfront were amazing, Virat is a serious player, it was good to take his wicket when we did. I don’t think he’s my bunny, he’s one of the hardest players to bowl to. I was under a bit of pressure, if he had hit a couple of more boundaries, the momentum would have shifted towards them.”
