Here is the four reasons of how India showed their dominance in the 2nd ODI:

1. An excellent opening partnership

The game once again showed why Shikhar and Rohit are regarded as such a deadly combo. Together they put up a 154-run opening stand, which was quicker than run-a-ball.

This was their 14th century partnership together. Dhawan continued from where he left in Napier as he scored 66 runs. Rohit started slowly, but gradually picked up his pace as he scored 87 off 96 balls.

Both the batsmen hit a boundary in every over which unsettled the bowlers. This resulted in the leakage of runs. The century stand created the platform for the bigger score in the match.
