ZICO – KERALA BLASTERS PUT A LOT OF PRESSURE ON US

The Brazilian answered all the questions regarding Jofre's benching and about their second home loss in ISL3.

Last night Kerala Blasters Took on FC Goa in Goa, which ended in heart -wrenching loss for the home side.

Every eyes on Zico's team because FC Goa is going to a bit of a rough patch but it's stayed that way after they lost against Kerala Blasters by 2-1,the game saw Julio Cesar opening the account  for the home side but Mohammed Rafi scored the equalizer for Kerala soon after the break and a smashing shot from the Haitian international K. Belfort turned the match  in Kerala's favour at the 84th minute.

Ehough the home side showed endurance for the first 45 minute ,but in the second half we saw a high spirited Kerala side stealing the show form their counterpart.

 

'We played very well in the first half but in the second half they scored in the first minute. Maybe they changed their strategy and were lucky with it once they scored,'': Brazilian said.

'We knew we would face a very hard team that would press us a lot. We played three days ago and they knew that. We knew we were facing a tough game. It was an equal game with few opportunities and they converted their chances," he mentioned.

The former Iraq manager described the match in his own version when he said that it was a game of very few instances ,he thought that his side would put up a much spirited performance than they actually did but he also gave due credit to Kerala blaster for winning the match but he believes that Kerala had more fresh legs on the pitch than his side.

'I think I wasn’t surprised by Kerala. They had more rest than we had and they put a lot of pressure on us,'' he said.
