When Will Cristiano Ronaldo First Play For Juventus?

In the start of this year’s transfer window, the whole footballing world was shocked to witness the transfer of Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid to Juventus for a deal of around €100 million (£89m/$117m)

Football news: After the big money move, Ronaldo has not yet debuted for Juventus

Ronaldo has won every possible trophy with Los Blancos and had now moved to Italy with the prospect of a new challenge and to help Juve win their third Champions League trophy.

But he has still not started playing for the club. Will he face his former club when Juventus meets Real Madrid in the International Chamipons’ Cup this summer in the United States?

It is highly unlikely because of his commitments at the World Cup as he now needs time to recover. Along with Ronaldo there are many World Cup stars like Paulo Dybala, who will miss the pre-season due to extended work load.

Ronaldo had announced that he would begin training at the club’s own training facilities later and not on July 30.

In the pre-season tour, Juve had won 2-0 against Bayern before a 1-1 draw against Benfica which the Italian side won on penalties.

Juve will next face MLS All-Stars on August 1 and will end their tour by playing Real Madrid on August 4 at FedEx Field in Maryland.

The 33-year-old Portuguese superstar is expected to begin the campaign at the start of the Serie A season when the Serie A champions will face against Chievo in an away fixture on August 19.

However he might be handed his first outing during Juve’s customary friendly game against their youth team in Villar Perosa, which is the home of Juventus President Andrea Agnelli’s family, on August 12.
