The 31-year-old Cristiano Ronaldo, who has already scored 270 goals in his 247 appearances for the Spanish giant Real Madrid and 68 goals for his nation Portugal and recently lifted his fourth Ballon d'Or on Monday, moving just one behind the 29-year-old Argentine ace and five time Ballon d’Or Lionel Messi.
Since 2008 either the Portuguese star Ronaldo or the Argentine ace Lionel Messi has lifted the trophy, but the Real Madrid’s forward feels that he would have come out on top if Messi was his team-mate.
As in an interview with France Football, Cristiano Ronaldo said,
"It would be interesting to see both of us in the same team,"
"I think great players should play together. So if we were in the same team, I think I would have more than him, but he wouldn't be far off.
"Everyone knows Messi is a great player. He's won five Ballons d'Or."
And lastly the 2016 Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo admitted that, this is not the end, he still wants to win many more trophies.
"My objective now is to win the Club World Cup, an important trophy,"
"After that, to win La Liga. It's a title that Real wants to win. And if possible, the Champions League again and the Copa del Rey. I always want to win everything." Ronaldo concluded.
