The former Manchester United defender believes that it is just only a matter of time for the French midfielder to deliver, while right now much scrutiny is placed on his performance.
Wes Brown the former Red Devils manager backed the 23-year-old French footballer and he thinks that he will justify his record-breaking fee.
In the beginning of the season, the French international rejoined the Manchester United side after he spent his four seasons with the Serie A side Juventus.
This season the Manchester United side has brought their youth graduate player from the Juventus side for £89m and such a sizeable price put him under pressure and everyone is expecting a magical performance from him.
This season he was unable to deliver what he had displayed back in their at Turin and only showcased some glimpse for them.
Wes Brown won five Premier league trophies and two Champions league trophies with them and he is confident that the French player will prove that he is capable of that amount of money.
He said: “I know a lot of people say all the other stuff is getting to him a little bit, but I don’t necessarily think it is.
“I’d just be advising him to get on with his football. Everyone has their own lives out of football and that’s just the way it is. Obviously, people are highlighting it a bit more because of who he is.
“He joined for a lot of money and we haven’t seen his best form yet, but I’m sure it’s only a matter of time before he starts to deliver.
“People are talking about his lifestyle off the pitch too much. But what counts is on the pitch and I’m sure he will produce good performances soon.”
The current Blackburn Rovers player also praises about the Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho and believes that under him they achieve the glory.
He said: “I’ve always said that it will take time regardless of which manager is there and hopefully they give Jose the right amount of time,”
“For where they are now in the league they are still in with a chance of getting top four.”
