We trust VAR and Officials: Solari

Yesterday Nicolas Tagliafico saw his opener against Madrid got candled due to marginal offside call and the Madrid boss believes it was a correct decision.

Solari stood against the system and the Match officials.

Madrid manager Santiago Solari says the head coach of all clubs needs to trust to the match officials and the system after Madrid benefitted from the system against Ajax and won the match by narrow margin of 2-1 goals.

Last night the Frenchman Karim Benzema and the Spanish youngstar Marco Asensio scored for the Spanish giants, and gave them the crucial away victory in the Johan Cruiff Arena.

Though in the first half Ajax have taken a deserve lead through the Argentine left back Nicolas Tagliafico, but the goal was disallowed through VAR review, with the Ajax attacker Tadic impeded the Madrid goalkeeper from a off side position.

Madrid manager thinks the manager sould entrust the match officials as they are the only one who got the access of the video reply.

“Without a doubt [we suffered]. We knew how to play the game, how to work it, suffer through it and to score when we created those chances.

“We did everything and that shows the strength of the players and of the group.”

Last night Ajax dominated the first half, but the Madrid manager is not ready to agree that they have put a bad show against Ajax.

He stated: “That’s your opinion,”

“This is the Champions League, the last 16, and there are no teams that are not very good.

“They played with a lot of energy, pushing some situations to the limit, and they made us work hard for the win.”
