We are aiming more than top four: Solskajer

New Manchester United manager says he would not be satisfied if the club finishes at the top four of the league.

Ole does not want his boys to settle for top four spot.

Earlier the regime of Mourinho, Manchester United were 11 points adrift than the fourth spot in the table, but with eight wins in a row and out of which six league game wins now put them just three points behind the fourth placed Chelsea.

On the FA cup now Manchester will tackle Chelsea next after defeating Arsenal by 3-1 goals on Friday, and on the other hand, they will face the French capital side in their Champions league encounter of the round of 16.

Despite the growing number of matches the Manchester United boss want his team to go for all the silverwares and also secure their spot for the next season’s Champions league as well.

“We can’t do that this year, but we have to get back to the challenge. We’ve got the Champions League, we’ve got the FA Cup, we can’t just say we’ve got top four and that is it.

“We have to look at if we can win something this year. As I’ve said, I go into every game as Man Utd manager thinking we can win this game.”

Though to challenge for the EPL gong in this season a bit unrealistic but he has given a challenge to his boys to catch Tottenham who are right now seven points behind the league leaders  and sitting at the third spot.

“I’ve been really impressed with the players, their desire and the team spirit. That goes a long way.

“We need to use these months to be ready for the challenge next year, we came second last year, we wanted to be challenging for the top place but it didn’t happen.

“It’s about reorganising and just starting next season to be ready to challenge and get more points.”
