Team India has been placed in group A  against Colombia, USA, and Ghana in the u-17 world cup.

Today the draw has been held in Mumbai for the extravagant event which will kick off from October.

In this draw, the two most successful teams Brazil and Spain are in the same group.

 New Caledonia makes their way first time in the final groups.

The tournament will commence from 6th October, India will take on against the USA in the first match which will be held in Delhi.

On the next day 7th October, another anticipated match between Brazil and Spain will be held in Kochi.

This is the first-ever FIFA event  India will be hosting, and it will be held in six cities from October 6-28.

All India Football Federation president Praful Patel avouched that India is also looking forward to hosting the U-20 world cup in two years, and he believes the success of this tournament will help them to get the bid for the U-20 world cup.

Today the draw was lead by several iconic footballers, including former Arsenal footballer Nwankwo Kanu, India's football captain Sunil Chhetri, and Argentina's Esteban Cambiasso.

The groups:

Group A: India, USA, Colombia, Ghana

Group B: Paraguay, Mali, New Zealand, Turkey

Group C: Iran, Germany, Costa Rica, Guinea

Group D: North Korea, Brazil, Spain, Niger

Group E: Honduras, Japan, New Caledonia, France

Group F: Iraq, Mexico, Chile, England

India’s group matches:

October 6: India vs. USA, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (Kick-off: 8 PM)

October 9: India vs. Colombia, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (Kick-off: 8 PM)

October 12: Ghana vs. India, Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium, New Delhi (Kick-off: 8 PM)
