TWO SOUTH AMERICAN PLAYERS, JOINED THE MUMBAI FRANCHISE.

Mumbai City FC has officially announced their new signing of the Argentine striker Gaston Sangoy and Uruguayan central back Walter Ibanez.

The 31-year-old Argentine striker is all set to boost the Mumbai city’s squad by his striking quality. He has already played in some major leagues with big clubs like Sporting Gijon, Boca Juniors, Apollon and have some title winning records like Cyprus cup 2009/10, Polish I liga 2015/16.

On the other side the Uruguayan central back Walter Ibanez also have some experience of playing in top division clubs in South America.   

Both the new member of Mumbai City FC are definitely going to boost the team by their experience and quality of play. The Mumbai Franchise club is also expecting a good show from the South American players after finishing at 6th position in the second season of INDIAN SUPER LEAGUE. 

 

In an interview coach Alexandre Guimaraes said, “Gaston is a proven striker and a goal getter. He is a great asset up front and will always keep the opposition on their toes. Walter is a winner and if you see over the last two seasons, he has had over 60 appearances. That is a testament to his skill that he is a permanent fixture in the team for his coach. I am looking forward to working with both of them and forming a winning team."
