The 36 year old Chelsea defender has admitted that he has got some offers from the Manchester City side and now because of that he has got the Bargaining power over Chelsea to sign a new contract with them.

First the Blues hierarchy has told him that he could leave the club after this season, but the Italian manager of Chelsea Antonio Conte want to hold onto him for one more year.

In the year of 2009 the Manchester City side tried to rope the defender to the Etihad stadium, but then he refused their offer and stay with the Blues.

Regarding this Terry said: "I spoke to Roman [Abramovich] at the time and told him I want to stay. Manchester City made an offer,"

"It gives you bargaining power to go in and renegotiate a contract."

This season the Blues defender spent most of his time on the bench as he only made five appearances for the Blues,

The Italian manger Antonio Conte believed in his 3-4-3 as in the defense he prefers Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill over Terry.

Though he is a backup option for them still the defender wants to be with his current team.

He voiced: "I'm not sure [if he would move to China],"

"For me, I want to stay at Chelsea."
