STEPHEN WILL CONTINUE FOR ANOTHER YEAR AS INDIAN NATIONAL FOOTBALL TEAM HEAD COACH

INDIAN FOOTBALL NEWS: The English professional football coach Stephen Constantine, who is currently managing the Indian national side is expected to be given a one-year extension by the AIFF as his current deal runs out early next year.

 

As after a meeting with the technical committee of the national body headed by Kushal Das, the general secretary of All India Football Federation (AIFF) it is expected that AIFF to extend Stephen Constantine’s contract by a year.

The English man Constantine, who led the side to the title in the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) Championship this year with a 1-0 win over Afghanistan in the final was reappointed as manager of the Indian team in January 2015, after an earlier spell with the national side from 2002-05 and he is currently in North Korea, guided India into the World Cup Qualifiers, but the team finished last in the group with just one win.

The Englishman will continue for another year as the Indian national football team coach,

As the general secretary of All India Football Federation (AIFF) Kushal Das has admitted in his recent interview,

"Stephen will continue for another year. I will speak to him and offer a year's extension," 

"By Nov 15 it will be confirmed,”.
