The Kolkata based ISL club Atletico De Kolkata will play their home matches in the 20,000 capacity Rabindra Sarobar stadium for the ISL season 3, because of the unavailability of the Salt Lake stadium.

The 68000 of capacity stadium Salt Lake has been selected as one of the main venues for the Under-17 World Cup, scheduled to be held in 2017. The stadium is under process of several renovations and the stadium need to be all complete before the FIFA inspection team arrives in October.

Because of this the ISL authorities have decided to make the Rabindra Sarobar Stadium as a new home ground for the upcoming third season of the Indian Super League.

In a statement the West Bengal's Sports Minister Aroop Biswas has clarified to the ISL officials on the issue of the ground,

As he said, “The representatives from fifa will visit the stadium in October. It's impossible to let them use the stadium before it. I understand the attraction of ISL is huge among football lovers but we must also understand this venue is a matter of pride for us and we must priorities the Under-17 World Cup at the moment,"
