The caretaker manager of Manchester United is eager to leave the club in a stronger state than he found after replacing Mourinho.
Solksjaer believes that there was no greener grass than Manchester United.
The New manager wants to lure the Spanish goalkeeper and the French attacker for contract renewal with United.
The pair if far from agreeing their contract renewal with the club despite club’s best effort, and now the new manager wants to leave the club in a better shape than he found it after succeeding Mourinho.
In his career he was himself a subject of interest from other European giants when he was with United, but he chose to play under Sir Alex Ferguson when the manager convince him that he is a part of his plan.
Now he is ready to coach united until the end of the season and he is taking inspiration from his own manager to tie down the pair.
He stated: “I know the club want them [Martial and De Gea] to sign, of course, because they are top quality players,”
“It’s down to the players, but when you’re at Man United there isn’t a lot of greener grass on the other side.
“You are at the best place. It’s the biggest club in the world. For me, I would hope I can help or guide these players to maybe tip them over to thinking they want to stay at this club.”
