The former Juventus coach under whom Juventus dominate the Italian league accepts that securing back to back titles in England is difficult.
The Chelsea head coach avouched that winning back to back title in Epl is tough, while also he claims that claiming crowns at Serie A is rather easier.
He was with the Juventus side from 2011 to 2014, and in all those three years he won the Serie A title with the Juventus side.
In his first season with the Chelsea side he has managed to turn his magic with the Blues as well and won the Premier League title in his debut EPL campaign but this season his counterparts spend big on the transfer market and they are able to knock out the Chelsea side from their arrogant perch.
After Chelsea’s 1-0 defeat against the Manchester City side, Conte said: “I see the commitment every day, but for sure to defend the title is very difficult,”
“It is very difficult for every team in this league. To defend – it is very difficult to win two titles in a row.
“We won the title with Juventus and I was expecting a really strong challenge from AC Milan, but instead they sold Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Thiago Silva to Paris St Germain, so they became weaker.
“It wasn’t simple second time, but it was easier. Here, from last season to this season, you have big teams and now they are bigger.
“I think last season we did a really great job, because we won the League against a really strong team, because Man City last season also was a fantastic team.
“And now after I think a great transfer market, they have improved a lot. It’s not simple to play this League.
“We have to try to do our best in every game with great ambition, because we must always have the right ambition. But at the same time sometimes you have to compliment your opponent. You must be honest and accept the result.”
This season Chelsea are still in the title hunt but in their recent match against Manchester City where they face a 1-0 defeat against them, that leaves them four points aback from the leaders.
