Selection of Sanchez Is In Question- Paul Scholes

The lack of form of Alexis Sanchez has led to doubts in the minds of many football pundits and as a result he might lose his place in the FA CUP semi-final.

Football news: ‘Predictable’ Alexis Sanchez should be dropped for FA Cup semi-final, says Scholes

Former Manchester United midfielder, Paul Scholes, has not been impressed by the Chile Midfielder since he moved from Arsenal to United in a controversial switch.

He says that Jose Mourinho, the present United coach, should drop Sanchez in Saturday’s FA Cup semi-final against Tottenham Hotspur because of his poor form.

Sanchez has scored two goals and assisted and has orchestrated his side’s win against Manchester City and Swansea City. But he could do nothing when his team lost to West Brom and officially ended their dream of winning the league.

The 29-year-old remained in the bench against Bournemouth in a 2-0 win, as Mourinho picked Anthony Martial on the left alongside Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard in attack.

As the Red Devils prepare to face Mauricio Pochettino’s side, it looks that Sanchez might make a return. But Scholes believes that Mourinho would again leave him out from his plans.

"I think the big decision is who plays either side of Lukaku," he said on BT Sport. "I'd go Rashford and Martial but I think he will probably bring Sanchez back into it.”

"I just don’t think his form has been good enough. I think he’s been quite predictable – we all know the talent he’s got.”

"Obviously there is a magnificent player in there but at Manchester United he’s just not showing it yet. I think Martial and Rashford are better options."

Martial has 9 goals and 5 assists in 27 League appearances, while Rashford has 6 goals in 30 appearances.
