Football News: The Brazilian midfielder Casemiro thinks the 2018 Ballon d’Or should go to his former Madrid team mate Ronaldo rather than his current team amte Modric.
Casemiro puts Ronaldo ahead of his current teammate Modric.
According to the Real Madrid midfielder, Casemiro believes Ronaldo should win this season’s Ballon d’Or ahead of the Croatian international Luka Modric.
On the other hand, Isco backed the Croatian international to win this season’s Ballon d’Or after he helped his side to win against Roma by 3-0 goals in their first Champions league encounter this season.
This year the Croatian also led his country to their first world cup final and won the Golden Ball award, and last night he assisted a perfectly weighted pass to Gareth Bale to double up the score for Madrid against Roma.
Last night in this sharp contest the Portuguese was sent off against Valencia in the first half during an off-ball incident with the Valencia defender Murrilo, though last season he helped Madrid to win their third consecutive Champions league trophy and Casemiro feels that this season he should win his sixth Ballon d’Or award.
Casemiro voiced: "Luka's year has been spectacular,"
"But in my opinion, I would give it to Cristiano Ronaldo because he has been the best throughout last season."
Last night Madrid won their match comfortable against the Serie A side Roma by 3-0 goals, Isco Bale, and Mariano Diaz put their name on the score sheet for Madrid.
