The 24 year old Brazilian attacking midfielder and Liverpool man linked this season with a move to Camp Nou but the move did not happen as he decides to stay with the Reds but the former Barcelona  player and Coutinho’s compatriot Rivaldo thinks that in future Coutinho will join Barcelona.

The 24 year old star has joined the Reds in the 2013 from the Italian giants Inter Milan after that he has became one of the most instrumental player for the Reds side.

This season he was heavily linked with a move towards Barcelona despite he has his agreement with the Reds until 2020 and the German coach Jurgen Klopp believes that the star will be with them.

The former Barcelona man Rivaldo believes that that if Coutinho joins the Catalan side he can play there along with his country player Neymar and that would be a treat to watch.

In an interview Rivaldo told sky sports: "In my opinion, he's a great player and a player who knows Neymar well,"

"I think that this transfer might happen because Barcelona is always going to attract the best, isn't it?

"He is one of the players who stands out and I believe that this transfer – if he goes to Barcelona – would be a good thing for Barcelona for sure.

"He is a player who would definitely help Barcelona. Of course, Barcelona is a big club, but with a player like him, it would definitely be a big help."

Rivaldo thinks that Coutinho can get easily tempted by the Chinese club as they are offering such a huge amount of wages to them.

As this season another Brazilian young player Oscar joins them and the Argentine striker Tevez joins the Chinese super league.

Rivaldo added: "Players in that situation think about their future don't they? About their children and about their family,"

"It's a unique opportunity for a player. Of course, he [Costa] is already in a big club, but this is a unique opportunity and players will always think about the personal side of things.

"Just as the club, you know, the club will have to sell… when they are offered that much money, a club will certainly sell a player.

"So, it's the same for the player. And I sincerely think that I would calmly go to China."
