Real Madrid latest news confirms that this season the French striker has only scored two goals for them, but the gaffer knows the striker can provide more goals.

The Real Madrid supremo Zinedine Zidane thinks his compatriot Karim Benzema knows that this season he is not up to the mark and he hopes Benzema will find his form soon.

So far the French striker has played 13 games for Real Madrid in this season but only managed to put the ball behind the net two times, this is the woeful start for him in term of scoring goals.

Along with Benzema the Real Madrid Ace Cristiano Ronaldo also struggling in front of the goal this season, and because of their goal drought this season they have lost many of their matches and as a result, they are now 10 pints aback than their arch-rivals Barcelona in La Liga table.

Today Madrid will travel to Cyprus to play their Champions League clash against the APOEL side and Zidane urges Benzema to give more on the field to redefine his form, and the Reigning champions want to secure their place in the next round of the competition.

Pre-match presentation Zidane said: "He [Benzema] is the first one who knows he can give more, because of the confidence issue, especially his confidence in front of goal.

"Strikers maybe need goals for confidence, but he's playing well, the team is playing well.

"When one goes in more can follow. Let's hope tomorrow [Tuesday] is the day to end the streak."

This season Zidane has face criticism for not putting young lads like Theo Hernandez, Marcos Llorente, Dani Ceballos and Borja Mayoral on the field more regularly. But Zidane says he does not have any kind of problem with them and he thinks right now they are just learning.

He added: "That [those players' happiness] is a question for the players,"

"As far as I'm concerned, I sit down and chat with players. They're here, they're young.

"They have to work hard, but look at the rise of Marco Asensio, for example. He played less last season, but more this season.

"Ceballos is in a similar position. There are maybe a few players who play less, but it's a learning curve.

"It's normal that they play less than other squad players. But Dani and the other young players all have big futures here."
