Real Madrid Ends Transfer Interest for Chelsea Star Eden Hazard

Real Madrid coach Julen Lopetegui has started to form his squad for the new season and his confidence totally lies on the Spanish footballer Isco.

Football news: Madrid coach does not want a ‘Galactico’ signing this transfer window

The full confidence on the ex-Malaga player leaves out the prospect of signing Belgium midfielder Eden Hazard, who currently plays in Chelsea.

The signing of Hazard would have changed a lot in the squad but the management has confirmed that their decision of not purchasing Hazard in this window is final.

The Chelsea star-man was reportedly been linked to a possible move to the Santiago Bernabeu as a marquee signing after Madrid’s star player Cristiano Ronaldo had joined Juventus this season.

Chelsea were thinking of cashing in the opportunity as they demanded a hefty sum of £200m for Hazard, but the Los Blancos side has declined the offer.

As the deadline for transfers in the Premier League ends on August 9, Chelsea are well aware of the fact that they would have to struggle to get the deal over the line.

While the current European champions are very fond of securing Hazard from Stamford Bridge, Madrid’s new manager believes he has enough options in his team.

Lopetegui has told the management that he would like to shape the team around Isco ahead of the new campaign. Lopetegui spoke glowingly about the Spanish midfielder as he has seen Isco play regularly for the national team while he was the coach there.

Lopetegui is so admired by the 26-year-old player that he does not want to sign any big names in that position.

Apart from that, Madrid chiefs are also interested in the overall development of Marco Asensio. Which had somehow stalled in the previous season.

It now remains to see what will be the future of Hazard as Chelsea’s new boss, Maurizio Sarri, is determined to keep the Belgian and might be tempted to offer him the Stamford Bridge captaincy.
