The Southampton manager Claude Puel got frustrated after his side lost the final against the Manchester United side and after that match he is claiming that their striker Gabbiadini has scored three times in that match.

In that dramatic match for the Red Devils Zlatan Ibrahimovic scored the winning goal at the 87th minutes at Wembley.

In that match the Manchester United has scored twice in the first half, Ibrahimovic and Lingard scored the first two goals for the Red Devils but the Italian striker scored twice for the Southampton side and keeps their hope alive in that match unless in the 87th minute Ibrahimovic scored the winner.

So far the Italian striker Gabbiadini has scored five goals for the Saints and in that match one of his goal was called offside by the match officials, the offside flag was raised against his team mate Ryan Bertrand though him not making any kind of move towards the goal.

After the final the Southampton manager said: "Manolo Gabbiadini scored three good goals this afternoon,"

"There is a lot of disappointment of course.

"We were unlucky throughout the game. For example, Gabbiadini's first goal was a good goal. We scored first, but the decision was not for us. Perhaps [the disallowed goal was a turning point] – it is always better to go 1-0 up.

"I'm proud of my players for a fantastic game. There is a lot of disappointment but hopefully we can continue at this level after showing so many good things."
