The former Arsenal legend Robert Pires believes that the young French starlet Kylin Mbappe has the merit to achieve greatness and also feels that he can achieve everything with the Arsenal team.


According to the Robert Pires, the French sensational will sign for the Arsenal side but he feels that people should not compare him with the Arsenal legend, Thierry Henry.

The 18-year-old youngster is one of the hottest properties in the European football,

This season for his side he has scored 18 goals so far, 13 in their domestic league and 5 in the Champions league so far.

A few days ago the Arsenal boss admitted that Team Arsenal does not has the amount of money to bucket him.

But the former Arsenal man Pires avouched that the French boss Arsene Wenger is the ideal man who can guide him towards his greatness.

Pires said: "I do think Arsenal will sign him. 

"The problem is how much. Mbappe has the potential to play for Arsenal and Wenger is the right manager to manage him. 

"Monaco and Arsenal are very similar in clubs, so it won't be much of a transition."

People are comparing Mbappe with the Arsenal legend Henry as because both of them are from Monaco and both of them are lethal in front of the goal.

On this Pires voiced: "The comparison is unnecessary, he's not ready to be compared to Thierry. Mbappe is a very similar player but to compare the two players would be unfair,"

"I hope that Kylian can follow in the footsteps of Thierry Henry, he has the same profile as Thierry – quick, strong and a great finisher but he's very young so I would hold off on comparisons just yet."
