Only Kohli Knows If He Can Make 100 Tons: Kallis

Indian skipper Virat Kohli is currently the only person who can break Sachin Tendulkar’s 100 tons record. Kohli has raced incredibly ahead and now poses a serious challenge to Master Blaster’s record.

The 30-year-old cricketer has 66 hundreds to his name and has scored over 19,000 runs. On the other hand Tendulkar has 100 tons and has scored over 34,000 runs. It seems that it can a huge challenge for Kohli to overhaul this record.

However when it comes to ODI centuries, Kohli (41) can break Sachin’s (49) record soon. When everyone is asking whether Kohli can achieve this feat or not, South African Jacques Kallis has the best answer. He believes if Kohli can maintain his fitness and will, he can surely achieve that.

“Kohli I believe can go as far as he wants to. He is a world class player, he is hungry and he works hard. He has proved that over the years. The main thing about him is that he keeps it simple. People enjoy watching him bat,” Kallis said to NDTV.

Kallis himself has 62 hundreds and has scored over 25,000 runs along with taking over 570 wickets. The 43-year-old veteran believes if Kohli has the fitness and will, nothing will be an obstacle for him.

Kohli has improved rapidly in ODI format. He has scored centuries, sometimes three in a row, to reduce the gap with Tendulkar. Recently he scored two consecutive centuries against Australia but unfortunately couldn’t win the game for his team.
