OFFICIAL: MANCHESTER CITY SIGNED THE GERMAN MIDFIELDER LEROY SANE

The 20-year-old German midfielder Leroy Sane has completed his move to Manchester City today.

The young midfielder has accepted a deal of £37m, which could rise to £42m based on add-ons and agreed a five year contract with the English giant Manchester City.

The young midfielder has impressed many big European clubs by his quality performance in the last season of the Bundesliga. He scored eight goals in his 33 appearances and helped his previous club Schalke to finish in 5th in the final standings of the league.

After being offered by some of the big European clubs, Leroy Sane chosen Etihad as his home ground for the coming season of English Premier League 2016/17, and now Leroy made his name as a second most expensive German player after Mesut Ozil.

In an interview Leroy said, “I feel really good, I’m happy to be here and happy that it has all worked out. Now I can settle here in Manchester and play for City,"

"One of the reasons I decided to join City was Pep Guardiola; he convinced me to come here and that I can continue to progress. I know I will learn a lot under him and now I can take the next step in my career.

"I followed Pep at Barcelona and at Bayern where he achieved a lot and worked really well with young players.

"I think he can make me a more complete player. I think I will need a bit of time to start with because it’s another league and there’s a different style of play but I think I can adapt very quickly."
