OFFICIAL: JANMAAT LANDED IN WATFORD FROM NEW CASTLE

Watford signed Daryl Janmaat from New Castle on a four-year deal

 

 

Official reports say that Watford completed all the procedures of landing Daryl Janmaat from New Castle to their club. It is said that Watford signed the right back player on a fee of of £7.5 million. The original amount is yet to be announced.

 

Janmaat seems to be very excited to join his new club as he belives he can change his style and can play even better.

 

The 27-year-old defender was capped 27 times by Netherlands. He was a star player in Feyenoord and then landed in New Castle in July 2014. He appeared in all competitions with a total game of 77 but was downgraded from the Premier League under the leadership of Rafael Benitez in the last session.

 

 "I'm really happy to be here, it's a new adventure for me.” said Janmaat.

 

“I was really pleased that Watford showed interest in me because I wanted to play in the Premier League.

 

"We [Newcastle] lost three times to Watford last season. They had a good season and I hope we can do the same again this year.

 

"The club is showing great ambition and wants to improve, and I want to be part of that." the defender concluded.

 

Janmaat’s signing followed Younes Kaboul of Sunderland and Roberto Pereyra of Juventus.
