Arsenal has confirmed the departure of Joel Campbell to Primeira Liga club Sporting Lisbon on a season long loan deal.

The Costa Rica forward has scored 4 goals in his last 30 appearances for the Gunners in all competition. Joel Campbell joined the club in 2011 from Deportivo Saprissa but hasn’t got a regular place in Arsene Wenger’s starting line up.
He has played on loan with various clubs Lorient, Real Betis, Olympiacos and Villarreal and now he will be playing with Portuguese outfit.
Sporting Lisbon will be playing in the Champions League this season, as they finished second in the Primeira Liga last season. So they are determined to build up a strong squad for this season and the Arsenal forward Joel Campbell will be a good addition to the side.
Arsene Wenger his desperate is add top quality player in his attacking rank, and after the goalless draw against Leicester City on Saturday, he said
"If I buy you for £45m tomorrow, does it mean I have done well? If I listen to you then I will have done well because I spent the money, but spending the money in itself is not the quality.
"Spending the money and getting a top player; that is different and we are ready to do that. I will spend £300m if I find the player, if I have £300m. We are a club who have 600 employees, who need to have a responsible attitude as well."
The 24-year-old forward Joel Campbell is all set to play against Porto next weekend in Primeira Liga.
