After starting the, I- League 2017 with two back to back win, the Mumbai based I league club Mumbai FC had suffered some bad days in the league as they lost their next six consecutive away games and after some back to back away runs, Santosh Kashyap's struggling side would at least be glad to be back home.

And the worst news is even though Santosh Kashyap's struggling side will be playing at home, but they will have to face some of the toughest teams of the league as Mumbai FC’s next two opponents are the second placed Mohun Bagan whom they play on Wednesday followed by the visit of reigning champions Bengaluru FC over the weekend.
And while acknowledging his side are currently in a bad phase, the Mumbai FC’s coach Santosh Kashyap said, "We are in a bad phase. When we have limitations of budget and players and you want to achieve something extraordinary, in that process some setbacks happen,"
"It's never ever happened in my playing or coaching career – six losses in a row. It's a tough time but I believe I've become a better coach in this period. We'll take this match very seriously and try to win it," he added.
On Wednesday, 15th Feb. Mumbai FC will host the Kolkata based I league giant Mohun Bagan followed by the visit of reigning champions Bengaluru FC over the weekend in the Cooperage Ground.
