The Kolkata Giants Mohun Bagan confirms that the Haitian international Sony Norde has signed a new deal with them.

The Kolkata giants Mohun Bagan has also announced that they will take part in the I league which will start from the November at the end of this season.

In a statement, the club said: "With immense pleasure we wish to inform that Sony Norde has signed the contract to play in favour of Mohun Bagan football team for the upcoming 2017-18 football season. The player will join the team from 1 October 2017,"

For this upcoming season, the Mohun Bagan forward Sony Norde as asked for a change in his jersey number which is accepted by the Kolkata giants.

In that statement, Mohun Bagan added: "Norde has requested for a change in his jersey number from 16 to 10. We have decided to keep his request and this year the Haitian talisman will don the jersey No 10,"

This season will be the Haitian international fourth season with the former Federation cup and I League winners.

For this upcoming, I league season the Mohun Bagan side has acquired Cameroonian striker Aser Pierrick Dipanda Dicka and the Australian Diogo Ferreira.
