The 29 year old Nigerian is thinking to leave the Blues if he not get a new deal from the club and he have kept an eye to United States.
The blues midfielder has reveled that he would be open to join his former Chelsea team mate Frank Lampard in MLS.
Frank has been a key face for the Ney York City FC. He netted 18 goals for them under Patrick Vieira’s, and they are just sitting in the second position in Eastern Conference standings.
The 29 year old Nigerian midfielder has been with Chelsea for more than 10 years, and recently told that he will talk with other clubs if Chelsea didn’t offer him a new contract, and he also confess that maybe in one day he will play in the united states.
There was absolutely no doubt that Frank wouldn’t go out there and succeed,"
Mikel told:"I am happy that he is back to his best, doing what he loves to do and, one day, who knows, I may go over there and play with him, or play against him.
"The first few months or so, it was a bad period for him and he didn’t have the best period out there. They started raising questions here and there about his fitness and what he actually came to do in America.
"I think we, here [at Chelsea], knew he wasn’t fully fit then, but once he became fit, we can see a different Frank Lampard, the Lampard we know, scoring goals and helping the team. I think Frank will never stop scoring goals. I think when he is asleep he is still scoring goals."
The former England midfielder Frank Lampard leaves Chelsea in 2011 and now Mikel is now second longest serving player for the Blues.
