The 32 year old English striker claims that he is not the hero of Kerala Blasters.
Kerala Blasters defeated the Mumbai City FC to their first defeat in the ISL season 3, and aslo they managed to collect their first three points from this match.
Micheal Chopra has scored the only goal for them in the 58th minute for them.
The Indian origin Englishman said that it was great to score the first gal for Kerala in ISL, across two seasons for the cricket genius Sachind Tendulker Co-Owned side.
"I've been waiting two years to score this goal. It's a great feeling and I'm emotional at the moment. In the 2014 ISL final (vs Atletico de Kolkata), the goalkeeper pulled off a stunning save. It happened in the last match also. Today, in the first half as well. I was thinking when am I ever going to score. But the chance came in the 2nd half.
"The main thing was this goal was for the team. It was because the other players were doing their job, I was able to score. I'm not the hero here. We've got everybody playing their roles. The staff, the other players and we've all stuck together,"said the fromer Newcastle striker.
Kerala Blasters finally came out of flying colours against Mumbai City FC and they ended their three match endless run, he thinks they are getting better as a crew the more time them spending together.
"We are just a team of players playing together. We were very comfortable in passing today and you could see the belief in our game. We are a team of good players and we finally had a chance to show the people what to do. The more we play together, the better we are going to get. Now that one's gone in, there will be more follow: said by Chopra.
