The Technical director of Catalan side says that he is confident that Lionel Messi, Marc-Andre ter Stegen and Andres Iniesta will sign new deal with them.

Robert Fernandez first team, secretary of Barcelona claims that the talks over the new contract with Lionel Messi are progressing “very, very well".

Josep Maria the Barcelona president claims that they have proposed Messi a firm deal and they are expecting that Messi will accept that deal and would continue his playing with them.

Everyone is expecting that the Argentine will leave the club after his end of  the contract in 2018 and but many Barcelona team mates like Luis Suarez wants him to stay in Barcelona.

But Barcelona president is confident like Suarez, Neymar, Sergio Busquets and Javier Mascherano, 

Messi ,Andres Iniesta and Marc –Andre ter Stegen will sign new contracts with them.

In an Interview the president told that: "Leo's renovation is going very well, very well,"

"I'm very relaxed, as I was before with Mascherano, Busquets, Suarez or Neymar. 

"And I am now with Messi, as I am with Iniesta or Ter Stegen. We're working and I'm convinced that they'll continue with Barca.

"It doesn't matter much who will be the first to renew. There will be people who want to poison the situation, but we've been working on this issue for a long time."

This season the Argentine superstar has scored 28 goals and also made 9 assists in his 26 appearances and the President believes that the Argentine is having his best season so far in his career.

He added: "Leo has reached a point where it seems like he plays better than three or five years ago,"

"He gets better all the time. He can pull a rabbit from the hat at any moment and in any situation on the pitch.

"If we did a survey among the fans, we'd ask if Messi is better now or before.

"Leo is the best player in the world. There is no doubt. I've been close to [Diego] Maradona, [Johan] Cruyff, [Alfredo] Di Stefano… but Leo is different. He's capable of doing well for many years."
