MESSI COULD JOIN NEWELLS AFTER WORLD CUP – MAXI RODRIGUEZ

 

The 35 year old Newell's Old Boys midfielder believes that the Catalans super star will join his side after the 2018 world cup is over.

Mazi Roudriguez is confident that his compatriot will join his boyhood club after the 2018 football world cup, and he is confident that the Argentine will leave the Barcelona for Newell’s Old Boys.

The five time ballon d'or winner left his first club for the spanish side before he was in the first team, but recently he run over that he wants to end his carrier with his boyhood club{Rosario side}.

He is not thinking that at this stage the Argentine superstar will leave his club to join his side Newell’s Old Boys side but thinks that the move is imminent after the world cup.

"Hopefully some day we will have the chance to see Messi play for Newell's," he told Tyc Sports.

"I think that if it will happen, it will be after the 2018 World Cup in Russia. I do not think it is an option before the World Cup.

 

"When we heard about Messi's comments saying that he would like to return to Newell's one day, the club was revolutionised."

The Argentine captain’s contract with the Catalan’s side will end in June 2018.
