Real Madrid had earlier contacted Brazil’s domestic league team Flamengo to acquire the services of Vinicius, as the Brazilian will be joining Madrid on July 12, this summer, when he turns 18.
'Neymar and I will play together at Real Madrid – Cristiano Ronaldo is my inspiration', says Vinicius
Ahead of his official transfer to the Los Blancos, Vinicius hopes that his fellow Brazilian Neymar will also join him at the Bernabeu.
"If God wants, Neymar and I will play together at Real Madrid," he said in an interview with The Guardian.
He added more saying, "I would definitely be in favour of him moving to Madrid because it would be my big dream to play in the same side as Neymar.
“He is my idol in football. If I had a chance to play with him, I would feel very happy."
Neymar has already been linked to a transfer to Madrid a number of times, despite his move to Paris Saint-Germain last summer from Barcelona for a record £200 million deal.
While the signing of Neymar is still in doubts, Vinicius will get an opportunity to train with five-time Ballon d’Or winner Cristiano Ronaldo.
The 17-year-old forward is eager to follow in the footsteps of Ronaldo. He said, "The dream of any player is to have the gift but very few have. I have been given this gift and my desire to improve is even stronger.
"In this respect, Cristiano Ronaldo is my inspiration. I admire what he has been doing for the last 10 years, playing at such a high level.
"It is not just talent and quality but hard work too. I hope to be able to tell him that one day."
Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane will likely rest Ronaldo in the La Liga clash against Leganes on Saturday, as he will want the Portuguese superstar to remain rejuvenated for the second-leg semi-final tie against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on Tuesday.
