The 55 year old German football manager and former German international Lothar Matthaus thinks that though Chinese Super League (CSL) would be a “poor taste” for the 24 year old superstar but he does not have any more sufficient option after another bad season.
The 1990 world cup winner thinks that right now move to the China would be a logical move for the German superstar Mario Gotze.
In the year old 2014 he scored the winning goal for his national in the World cup against Argentina but apart from that he has toiled to create and an impression in Bayern Munich and also in Dortmund the following campaigns.
The German legend believes that he is missing a key factor that he need to have to get for success at this level and if he joins the Chinese Super League that could be prove beneficial for him, which league attracted the players like Oscar and Tevez in the recent weeks.
In an interview he said: "Honestly, even if it sounds a bit nasty, if it does not work for Gotze at Dortmund, he has to go to China. Gotze certainly does not want to make less money”.
"He will not go to Schalke, he will not go to Leverkusen, Gladbach cannot afford to sign Gotze. Top clubs from abroad aren’t that interested anymore.
"If he does not get in the team at Dortmund, and has the same salary demands, then he will be off to China”.
This season also the 24 year old only made 11 appearances for the Dortmund side and scored only once for them and made one assist, he finds himself on the bench most of the times.
