Martial can emulate Ronaldo at Manchester United: Solskjaer

According to the New United manager Ole Gunnar Soslskjaer, right now Anthony Martial has the potential to emulate Ronaldo at United.

Solskajer believes Martial can be the next Ronaldo at United.

In 2015, Martial was the most expensive teenager when he made his move to United from Monaco and he has largely impressed everyone with his skills, till now he has made 164 appearances for the club and scored 44 goals.

However earlier this season, he was set to leave the club after falling out with the special one earlier this season, but the Frenchman fought his way back into Mourinho’s plan before signing a new deal with United under the caretaker manager Solskjaer.

Martial made his first start since he penned his first contract with an assist and a superb goal in their 3-0 win against Fulham, where his excellent solo effort led  former United captain Neville to compare that with Ronaldo’s goal against Craven Cottage in 2007.

This season so far he has scored nine goals for United, just two goal short of total he managed in his debut season at United, and Solskjaer believes he is true Red Devil and he is a ideal fit for United.

The United manager added: “I am glad he is in my team,”

“He has contributed to so many chances, so many goals.

“He is a Manchester United player. He excites the crowd. He excites the manager. He excites his team-mates. And he is a great character around the place.”
