Last night match the Highlanders(Northeast United) played display some awesome game against them and in that match they came upon three times after conceding goals from the home team and showed some fighting mentality throughout the match, the Northeast United side have the hunger to have one point and they succeeded at it.

The former inter Milan legend thinks that it is imperative to close down some matches after taking the goal advantage and he thinks it is because lack of experience.

The former inter Milan legend says that:

"We are a new team but maybe it was due to lack of experience. FC Pune City scored an incredible goal and same with Mumbai City FC. There is not much you can do. I am sad for my players as they have shown they were ready to die for the result. Unfortunately, things didn’t work out our way. We showed a great performance,"

The Chennaiyin FC gaffer sad for his players, and added:

No, I never thought that (we would concede late). Unfortunately, this is football. I am sad for the players as they deserved to win. We were fighting all the time. NorthEast came for a draw. But what can you do. Against Kolkata, we conceded a late goal, the same against Mumbai – who scored with their first shot. Pune was the same thing and today as well.

"Three years back if you would have told me that I will make it into the play-offs in first year, win the title in the second year and then get out in the third year like this, I would have signed-up and come here anyway. I am happy about today’s performance. We will try to be as good as possible in the next game,"
