Claudio Ranieri is trying earnestly for Leicester's title champions to come up and deliver their hunger for victory.
The owners of the Manchester United feels much more than to assure a place for them in the top four and the Champions League after supporting Mourinho to break all other previous transfer of the history to bring Paul Pogba back to Old Trafford.
Pogba will be joining Manchester in the coming 48 hours after United gave a green signal on the final information and conditions in his £100million move from Juventus.
The Trafford coach revealed by stating: “It is not new in my career. Everywhere I’ve been I’ve had to cope with that situation. It doesn’t matter where I am, everyone expects big things. It’s nothing new for me, I like to create that expectation. I like the players to feel it.
“Sometimes during my career I’ve created some unrealistic targets but by creating these you push the team to unexpected levels. To win the Champions League with Porto or Inter is unexpected and a very risky objective target. To win championships in the first season is a little bit of the same but I like that.
"People analyse it as arrogant and so on, that’s not a problem for me. The reality is I always feel for players, managers, clubs that this kind of establishment of very difficult targets can only help us.”
On this account the LEICESTER CITY coach Ranieri also stated:
“I think it is in my DNA,” he said ahead of the clash with Jose Mourinho – the man who replaced him at Chelsea when Roman Abramovich took over at Stamford Bridge.
“As a player, I wasn’t a champion. I was just normal. I played in Serie A, Serie B and even Serie C.”
And he then gave a telling insight into the natural battling qualities he tries to instil into his players.
“Always you can beat me – but you can’t kill me.”
“I work with the same intensity and the same confidence and the same attitude as always,” said Ranieri. “No less and no more. It is my job to make sure the players have the same hunger.
“I feel something good coming from my players,” he said. “I watch them during the training session and see that. But I want to see them on the pitch. I want to see if they are involved in the project here.”
“Our strength is not keeping possession. To play how we want it is important to be 100 per cent fit. But we can’t press for 90 minutes against United. It is impossible at this moment. So it is now important to be intelligent.”
