The player from Shakhtar Donetsk will undergo the medical test at Carrington and if he passes that he will be confirmed as Jose Mourinho’s first summer signing by Tuesday.
Fabio Melo, who is Fred and Arsenal midfielder Gilberto Silva’s agent, will hold a meeting with the United officials on Monday.

Fred along with Melo was in Liverpool this weekend as Brazil were preparing for a warm-up friendly fixture before the World Cup against Croatia at Anfield.
This has helped the Red Devils as they now can secure the signing as early as possible before Brazil flies off to Russia to participate in the World Cup tournament.
Although Fred had claimed that he would decide about his future after the high prestigious tournament get over, but Mourinho is keen to make a quick start on his summer overhaul as the midfielder is just one of the various targets which are being pursued.
Mourinho also wants an attacking midfielder in his side, with mainly Sergej Milinkovic-Savic and Marco Verratti in sight.
Mourinho also wants three new defenders in his side as he has targeted Diogo Dalot, Toby Alderwiereld and Alex Sandro.
