After helping the Bayern Munich side to claim their Bundesliga title this year, the Bayern Munich captain is ready to hang up his boots for his country and for his club.
The Bayern Munich captain and their right back Lahm said he has enjoyed every second remaining of his playing career with the Bavarian giants.
In their last match against the Wolfsburg side, the Bayern Munich side demolished them by 6-0 goals.
Last night David Alaba, Robert Lewandowski, Thomas Muller, Joshua Kimmich and Arjen Robben scored for the Bayern Munich side.
And after this season the Bayern Munich legend Lahm will retire from his glittering career.
With the Bayern Munich side, Lahm won 21 trophies with them, eight of them the Bundesliga title and one Champions league.
But he now revealed his disappointment for not finding many goals in this career.
Lahm said: "Eight leagues, 21 titles, yeah ok, that's great. But not many goals? That could have been better!"
"Winning the Bundesliga is never a given. I have to enjoy the last few weeks now, every training session.
"On the final day, I will take everything in. Many people will be in the stadium, my family, friends.
"There were many highlights. The first German championship, for example. Even if I won so many titles, the first title is not forgotten.
"But the really special thing about all these years was the co-operation with the players, coaches, mentors."
