KOMPANY TOLD ME HE COULD NOT PLAY ANYMORE – GUARDIOLA

The Belgium international had been brought back by Pep Guardiola in the midway of the match, not because of his injury.

Manchester City boss Pep exposed that he substituted the Belgium during their EFL fourth round match against their Arch rival Manchester United where they defeat, he told that he substituted him not because the defender says that he could not play anymore.

The Sky Blues captain has been in their first line up in the Sunday after his long term injury now he is still in his recovery stages.

In this week when Manchester city were traveling to the Old Trafford then in the build up the Belgium international told the City doctors that about his physical condition, in where he is standing now, to avoid further injury problems. 

In their last match against Southampton City draws their match with them by 1-1, therer the defender spent 78 minute on the ground, Kompany turn back during the interval in their match against the Red Devils.

"He told me he could not play anymore," said Guardiola, whose side conceded Juan Mata's winner soon after Kompany was replaced by Aleksandar Kolarov.

"We had two or three chances, [we couldn't find] the last pass, but I'm so proud.
