The Kolkata based I- League giant Kingfisher East Bengal FC are set to rope in Ugandan defender Ivan Bukenya for the upcoming of I-League.

According to the latest report, the Uganda international and former Arbil FC’s defender Ivan Bukenya is another foreign recruit to the East Bengal squad after signing Wedson for the upcoming season of I- League.

The 25-year-old Uganda international, Ivan Bukenya has made 37 appearances for the Kaizer Chiefs Football Club the South African football club based in Johannesburg before joining the i- League giant East Bengal FC.

And the Uganda defender, who can also play as a midfielder was the part of the Iraqi side Arbil SC who made it to the final of the AFC Cup in 2012 and also has an eight appearances for the Uganda national Football team.

After releasing the British defender Calum Angus, who was hospitalized during the Bordoloi Trophy with Dengue. Ivan has been the second foreigner roped in by the club in the recent past with the first being Haitian striker Wedson Anselme and for sure the Uganda international will be huge boost for the Kolkata side club Kingfisher East Bengal FC.
