JOHN ARNE RIISE: I AM HERE TO HELP CHENNAIYIN FC WIN THEIR SECOND ISL

John Arne Riise Chennaiyin FC's marquee had to say about his ISL managers and a lot more.

The 36 year old Norwegian footballer former Liverpool legend and former Champions League winner, he has come out from Aalesunds FK’s youth academy, life has come a long way from his teenage days and with a sparkling carrier behind, he has earned the right o look back and absorbs the quibble.

The 36 year old might not be the same player he was all those year back at Liverpool, his ransack run over the left flank which cause concern  not just the opposition defender also the right winger who were obliged to double up.
On last Sunday Riise was lining up a free-kick from quite a distance from the edge of the box, and you could see Hans Mulder standing over the ball,

Risse keep an eye on the top corner of the Atletico de Kolkata’s goal. Though it was nearly a perfect free kick but it hits the bar and he had to improvise.

"I’m here to win the title. When Marco called me and asked me to come and play for him, it was not difficult to say yes. They're the champions. They want to be the first team to win the ISL twice and I want to help them do that and win my first ISL. I feel now that I'm a part of the best team in the league. This season it's going to be difficult, we're the champions, everyone wants to beat Chennaiyin as they won the title last year. It's a big challenge, and a good challenge that I'd like to have," he exclaimed.

"It kind of happened naturally to me. I always like to play as a center-back as I feel I'm strong, good in the air, I can read the game well and have a good left foot. Being a left back, I could use my offensive skills better. I like to go forward. Physically I was strong and I can run up and down. I always prefer to be an offensive minded player.
