And the Brazilian international Neymar, who is currenly playing for the Spanish champions since 2013 has recently admitted that it will be practically impossible for Barcelona to reach the Champions League quarter-finals after suffering a humiliating 4-0 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Wednesday.
As goals from Di Maria, Julian Draxler and Edinson Cavani took the France giant to a huge win over the Spanish champions FC Barcelona, where the Argentina international Di Maria has scored two goals including a beautiful free kick goal in the very early of the game.
And now the Luis Enrique’s side must become the first team in Champions League history to overturn a 4-0 deficit to advance as they will host Paris Saint-Germain in the 2nd leg of the Champions League Round of 16 on 9th March in the Camp Nou.
And on that the 25-year-old FC Barcelona’s hotshot Neymar believes it will be practically impossible for Barcelona to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.
As Neymar told reporters after the match, “It was an unusual game that hardly ever happens to us, but Paris deserve credit. They had a great game, they finished well and got to our goal well,"
"Now we have to think about the next game, to see what we can do to try to turn it around, which is very difficult – practically impossible. But we cannot give up.”
"It's very difficult to prepare for such a game. I do not think I've ever been in this situation.”
