The Delhi based Indian Super League club Delhi Dynamos FC need a must win against the table toppers Mumbai City FC at the Mumbai Football Arena on Saturday to finish the league stage of Hero Indian Super League 2016 as table-toppers.

 

After a 2-1 loss against the Highlanders Northeast United FC in their last match, the Delhi Dynamos FC’s head coach Gianluca Zambrotta wants his players to give their everything for a win in both sides’ last game of the league stage, but also admits that the Lions will have to be a little careful with several players just being a booking away from an automatic one-match suspension ahead of the semis.

As Zambrotta told reporters at the pre-match press conference,

“Of course, we will try to win tomorrow and we will try to top the table and I think it is the same case with the opponents and tomorrow let’s see what happens. We have to consider the situation regarding the yellow cards because of the semi-finals and we definitely are looking forward to the match day,”

FOOTBALL MATCH:

Delhi Dynamos FC’s star forward Marcelinho is set to miss the game due to an automatic suspension, but the Italian man Gianluca Zambrotta believes their last league game against the table topper Mumbai City FC will be the an exciting encounter as both teams have an abundance of attacking talent and the both sides like to attack and score a lot of goals.

“I don’t know what will happen in the match but we would like to attack and score a lot of goals, and in tomorrow’s match if we play like we know, then we can give a good performance, and tomorrow will be an exciting and good match for both teams,” Zambrotta said.

And lastly, when the FIFA World Cup-winning Italian man Gianluca Zambrotta has been asked if the loss against the Northeast United FC in their last game had taken away some of their momentum,

Italian said,

“We analyzed what went wrong in the last match and unfortunately against Northeast we had very low intensity. We did well in the first half but the intensity was low in our play and we need to run better and defend better, and this will be a good attitude to have for the next match and the semi-finals.”
