Football News: The Croatian head honcho believes his side will have a lot of energy against the English side following back to back penalty shootouts at Russia.
Zlatko Dalic is very much optimistic about the Semifinal against England.
After a gruelling encounter with the Host country in the Quarterfinal, the Croatia head coach Zlatko Dalic believes that his boys are ready to tackle England in the Semifinal.
After 1998, this is the first time Croatia has reached to the top four of this showpiece competition winning a penalty shootout against host country by 4-3 goals.
No team could be separated after the extra time, the score was 2-2, and in the end, Croatia emerged as a winner in the penalties.
Dalic voiced: "Congrats to my lads but also to Russia who fought well,"
"This wasn't a beautiful game but a fight. A battle for the semis. We were lucky, thank God.
"I was concentrated throughout but after Rakitic's penalty, it came bursting out of me. I felt really relieved. We made ourselves happy but also everybody back home in Croatia happy. I don't cry often but now I have good cause. Croatia are in the semis. This is a great result.
"We have power left for England. We won't want to stop. We will try to play our best. We have two matches to play. We are very motivated. We are giving our all. It will be a battle again but I believe in us."
Last day England also reached to the Semis after defeating Sweden by 2-0 goals.
Dalic added: "They breezed past Sweden. They were better. They are young and alive. Attacking team,"
"There are no favourites in this World Cup. It's all 50-50. You have to fight it out. The favourites are home now. Those who work hard and organised are still here in Russia. This is the character of the teams remaining."
