It was a penalty- Vazquez

Football News: Real Madrid star man Vazquez persisted that he was fouled by the Juventus defender Benatia, as the last gap penalty eliminated Juventus.

Real Madrid latest News: Vazquez believes that the match official made the right decision.

Last night Madrid ace Cristiano Ronaldo scored a spot kick in the dying minutes against Juventus and because of that by an aggregate of 4-3 goals they through to the last round despite being losing last night’s game by 3-1 goals.

The Serie A champions made an outstanding comeback against  the defending champions last night at Bernabeu and at first everyone thought it was destined for the spot kicks, but they were shattered by the match officials' decision for the spot kick in the dying minutes, the Juve skipper Buffon picked up a red card for protesting the decision.

In the post-match presentation the Madrid attacker Vazquez voiced: "Yes, it was [a penalty].

"When I went to hit the ball the centre-back arrived from behind and knocked me down. There's no discussion.

"It's normal [that Juventus players protested], it was the final minute."

Where Vazquez believes it was a right decision taken by the referee on the other side the Juventus defender Benatia believes they were the victims of the right decisions.

Benatia voiced: "We are sad, because we played the game we wanted to and last year the same thing happened to Bayern Munich,"

"Real Madrid are a great side, but every time there is a challenge, they get the decision and Cristiano Ronaldo scores.

"I went around Vazquez and got the ball. He just went down because he had nothing else to do at that point. You can see the ball bounce off my foot and change direction. Going out to a penalty like that is absurd.

"We are the victims of this situation, but we're very proud of what we did tonight."
