The Pune based ISL club FC Pune City has recently confirmed about their new signing of the Spanish forward Jesús Rodríguez Tato simply known as Jesus Tato for the third edition of Indian Super League.
The FC Pune City signed the Spanish man Jesus Tato from the Moroccan football club, Moghreb Atlético Tetouan.
Jesus Tato is the latest edition of Pune to boost their strike force with his quality of play and the experience of playing in more 10 European clubs including Barcelona B, where he scored 11 goals in his 38 appearances for the Spanish side.
And also made 2 and 3 appearances for the Spain U-16 and U-20 respectively.
The 33-years-old Spanish man Jesus Tato is all set for his new challenge and experience. Jesus hopes it will make him a better player.
As Jesus stated after completing his move to the Orange Army FC Pune City,
“I am turning a new page in my career. Having played in Spain for most of my career, adapting to new culture, new style and different players will be a challenge I will relish and hope it will make me a better player.”
After the signing, the former Atletico de Kolkata’s boss and current Pune City’s new manager Antonio Habas welcomed the Spanish forward to his new home. Antonio prised Jesus Tato for his ethic work and for his dangerous qualities in front of goal, coupled with an attacking mindset and admits that he expects that the Spanish forward will make a difference to his side,
Antonio Habas stated that, “Tato is a player with a solid work ethic and is also a thorough team player to say the least. His attacking mindset makes him a dangerous player in any position that he plays. I welcome him to his new home and hope he makes the difference he is expected to make to the side,”
And the CEO of FC Pune City, Gaurav Modwel has to say that the Spanish man Tato adds versatility to Pune City’s frontline and also believes that his experience of playing in the Spanish League is a big asset for FC Pune City for the third edition of Indian Super League.
As Gaurav Modwel said, “Tato adds versatility to our Frontline. He can play forward as well as on wings as per the team’s requirements. His experience of playing in the Spanish leagues means his skill sets are up there and he will be an asset for the FC Pune City,”
The FC Pune City will kick start the third season of Indian Super League with a home match against Mumbai City FC on 3rd Oct.
